An outstanding tool
|
"I just wanted to let you know that we have used your program now for almost a year. It has made all the difference in our precision when it comes to mute groups and sound cues. EVERYONE has remarked about how smooth our shows have been technically and it is all because of SCS.
I recommend it to everyone on any level. It is an outstanding tool to have."

SCS works brilliantly
|
During 2006 Mark Ware accepted a commission for an interactive sound sculpture to be located at Toynbee School, Eastleigh, near Southampton, UK (completed and installed during January 2008). The result was eight external Sound Posts with sounds sent to each post individually or in any combination using SCS.
Mark says "SCS works brilliantly with the Sound Posts and I plan to recommend it for future projects that involve sound." In his report on the project, Mark writes: "The benefit behind using SCS software for students is that it allows for varying levels of creativity, from simple playback of audio to much more complex
combinations. During testing and evaluation I noted that it took a very little amount of time to understand and use the SCS software - an essential feature when it comes to teaching schoolchildren."

SCS proved to be incredibly easy to master
|
"I would like to say a big well done and a thank you for creating an excellent
piece of software! After purchasing a few years ago, I have used this on
MANY productions. I would like to tell you about a recent season at the
National Youth Theatre, so you could possibly create a little page on the use
of it in the West End?

The company I was working for was the National Youth Theatre of GB. Over
the summer season we created about 10 pieces of new theatre, 8 of which
relied heavily on SCS. We are using the latest Professional version. Victory
Street was the show with the heaviest use of SCS. I have attached the show
file, so you can see what we did, but it included about 40-50 Midi triggers, to
run the AV, which was played from 3x Arkaos Machines. Midi also triggered a
Yamaha 01V96, Akai S6000 as well as playing sound effects and music, via 10
outputs, routed to a surround array of D&B speakers. The show ran at the
Soho Theatre, with a very short tech time, where SCS proved itself as a
versatile and very comprehensive tool for the playback and control of MIDI
equipment. The ability to alter timings/routing very quickly, sped up the
rehearsal time dramatically. We were able to control all AV and sound with
one operator instead of four as previously required. The show toured to
Manchester, at the Lowry theatre in October, where we simply tweaked
levels and routing.

As a charity, we teach young technical members as well as well as actors.
SCS proved to be incredibly easy to master, with technical members
programming shows in no time at all.

We have had no problems so far, and will continue to use your application
for a long time! Thank you for creating a brilliant piece of audio software."

Over 400 individual sound cues
|
"I just wanted to thank you on a great piece of software. I started
using SCS 8 last summer working for a company doing a summer repertory
season and the software just worked. I was extremely impressed. I'm
working for the same company this summer now using SCS 9 and it's even
better. I have a director that wanted over 400 individual sound cues
during the show, and while the amount of data taxes the computer
system, SCS 9 has handled the load flawlessly. So, thanks."

Terrific software, easy to use, ludicrously flexible
|
"We have a production of Francis Durbridge's Deadly Nightshade. 70+ sound cues from 4 different speaker (1 stereo + 3 mono) sources + bar music and timed public safety announcements. It is also controlling the stage foldback monitors via midi and sending a VOX trigger to the lighting desk during the (inevitable) thunderstorm!
We opened this evening to a full house, and the sound plot ran superbly.
Terrific software, easy to use, ludicrously flexible, and a fraction of the price of some of your competitors.
Well done, and thanks."

No useless fluff, just get the job done
|
"My church has just completed a week of performing it's Easter drama. I can't tell you how impressed I have become with your program over these last two months! By the time we were finished, we had over a hundred cues in the show, with over half of them being auto-activated. We used sound cues, stop cues, level changes, and a couple of hot key cues. I had narration layered over music, loops, sound effects I triggered to match the actors (whip, hammer), pre/post show music, fade ups/downs, you name it. Thanks for a truly great "no useless fluff, just get the job done" piece of software."

Teaching an operator who'd never see the program before was extremely easy
|
"First off thanks for a simple, intuitive, and extremely efficient program. You'll be glad to know that my production
period went extremely well and thanks to SCS and the Laptop / Audio interface I spec'd it made things extremely flexible for playing things in rehearsals, to then 10 mins later beginning my soundcheck in the auditorium. Also teaching an
operator who'd never see the program before to use and program by the end of the day was extremely easy. Fantastic."

I have been able to flawlessly provide everything the play calls for (and more)
|
"Just wanted to say thanks again for the excellent tool you have created in Sound Cue System.
I have almost completed my whole sound design and have been able to flawlessly provide everything the play calls for
(and more) because of the way the tool works. The feature that I find most useful is the ability to run multiple
sound files at the same time. It means that I dont have to be stuck into a recording/re-recording cycle as the
Director wants to make minor changes. Well done!"

SCS is the best product of its kind, bar none

"I am a long time customer of yours and am an absolute fan of your product. I
have been in theatre for over 20 years on all sides of the process and your SCS
is the best product of its kind, bar none."

Sure glad a fellow sound designer told me about SCS
|
"Just finished the dry tech yesterday and I got to tell you, there is no way I could have done that show with using a 2 CD system. About 50 sound tracks with 121 cues. The complexity of overlapping, fades, multiple cues right on top of each other at different volumes would have made the use of 2 players with an analog sound board impossible to use.
Sure glad a fellow sound designer told me about SCS."

Everything went perfectly
|
"Everything went perfectly last night. The rest of the (very experienced) tech crew were mortified when I told them I was going to run Sound Cue from my laptop, on opening night, without a rehearsal, after having purchased and programmed it (60 cues) that day, but it performed without a single glitch and for once all cues were spot-on."

I now have the platform on which I'll be building the rest of my shows
|
"SCS was a hit with our audiences, the cast, and definitely with me! I ran the show on an old beater laptop using an iMic USB line out (WinXP), and it worked perfectly, giving me exactly the control I needed for the show's Sound FX. I now have the platform on which I'll be building the rest of my shows. It worked great!"

This program is amazing
|
"Since I have started using SCS I have run all my designs from it and have had no problems or glitches. This program is amazing. I don't know how I lived without it. I have been able to load SCS onto a laptop I purchased specifically to run shows and am able to work on my designs anywhere then just bring it in and plug it into the sound board foregoing all the mess of building designs, burning CDs or MDs then showing someone how to dance around these machines while mixing it all."
